I’m revamping my look and on the prowl for the perfect pair of sunglasses. In my opinion, sunglasses can be the most glamorous, sophisticated accessory a girl can have in her arsenal of cool. My collection of sunnies are as lovingly cared for as if they were family heirlooms and I still mourn a pair of pearl-and-black Chanel’s purchased one spring in Paris, lost in a cross-country move.
I confess I also feel a need for some uber-cool eyewear for the new nerd look in fashion that is currently the rage. Not that I qualify for the cool nerd club, as my math abilities are an epic fail, but fashion rules are fake it ’till you make it. So, the timing was perfect when I was asked to collaborate with Warby Parker. Funny how the universe works that way?
Warby Parker allows you to order five pairs of sunglasses and/or eyeglasses with their Home Try-On program. I ordered my picks today and am so excited to pair them with my new fall fashions arriving next week. The company goodwill (and great design!) doesn’t just extend to actual customers, they have a unique give-back, benefiting the global community. The program is for every pair purchased, Warby Parker makes it possible to distribute a pair to a person in need.
You can read about their unique perspective and see all the gorgeous eyewear online at Warby Parker. This season Warby Parker partnered with another design house, Maiyet (whose poncho is featured on my Instagram and I am seriously crushing on it) to create the Bird glasses shown in my fashion board above. It’s obvious that Warby Parker has an “eye” on the future of designer eyewear. I can’t wait to preview my new collection! I’ll keep you posted…
